SAIC Senior Site Reliability Engineer in Topeka, Kansas
Description
The Senior Site Reliability Engineer (REMOTE) will be a key member of a fast-paced Security Solution development team,
creating automated security solutions as products to be consumed by application development teams. This position supports the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Cloud Security Operations and Maintenance (Cloud SecOps) program.The responsibilties include:
Provide Security Solutions using tools such as Trend-micro, Tenable/Nessus, and Inspec
Deliver Site Reliability Engineering in cloud-based environments (AWS and/or Azure/MAG)
Execute complex security projects (from design through implementation and maintenance) that
identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities within a cloud-based environment
Deliver security solutions using site reliability engineering (SRE) concepts
Self-motivated to lead or support the resolution of complex questions and issues
Utilize creativity and innovation to automate and streamline processes and procedures
Learn new skills, new client environments, new tools and new domain expertise quickly and eagerly
Addresses and resolves complex incidents/requests, which may be escalated via customer support requests
Work extremely well with peers and is able to build strong relationships with development and requirement teams by working across organizational boundaries to resolve customer incidents and requests
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of overall professional experience
At least 3-years in of Cybersecurity experience
At least 3-year experience using Agile scrum
At least 3-year experience performing software configuration management functions
2 years - full stack engineer - Python/ruby or similar programming or scripting experience
Linux, bash, vi/emacs - 2 years
Current or prior work experience at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and in particularly the Office of Information Technology / Infrastructure and User Services Group (OIT / IUSG)
Be a US Citizen
Ability to obtain a public trust clearance
Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
