Wolters Kluwer Senior IT Security Analyst in Topeka, Kansas
In-depth conceptual and practical technical knowledge of IT security. Works independently with minimal guidance. Evaluates, tests, recommends, coordinates, monitors and maintains information systems (IS) and cyber security policies, procedures and systems, including access management for hardware, firmware and software. Ensures that IS and cyber security plans, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with IS standards and overall IS and cyber security. Identifies security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations and suggests procedures to halt future incidents and improve security. Contributes to the development of techniques and procedures for conducting IS and cyber security risk assessments and compliance audits, the evaluation and testing of hardware, firmware and software for possible impact on system security, and the investigation and resolution of security incidents such as intrusion, frauds, attacks or leaks. Contributes to delivery of team goals through personal efforts or through influence over team members.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
Responsible for overall security program, practices, procedures and reporting.
Understands key business drivers and builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers.
Interface with WK Global Information Security group on overall direction and implementing security mandates.
Leads security council efforts.
Evangelizes security best practices and procedures across organization.
Manages projects and assignments related to security initiatives.
Coordinates all security inquiries and responses to clients.
Documents, implements, and monitors security procedures and practices.
Manages vulnerability, DAST, SAST, and penetration test execution and remediation.
Creates costs estimates for implementation of changes or additions in security practices.
Advises management on long term strategy related to security.
Assesses, reviews, recommends, and helps implement security tools.
Leads annual security audit responses.
Hands on management and operation of IT tools related to job function.
Collaborate directly with the product and development teams to define strategy and technical roadmap and drive the rapid implementation of appropriate technologies related to security.
Performs a range of technical assignments and solves moderately complex problems under guidance of established policies and procedure.
Contribute to HL knowledge warehouse (FAQs, documentation, sample code, scripts).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or commensurate experience.
8+ years in information technology roles.
5+ years in a security job or role.
Experience in the healthcare industry a plus.
Experience in managing security audits (e.g. SOC 2) a plus.
Demonstrated experience implementing security tools (e.g Coverity, Varonis, Black Duck etc.) a plus.
Experience working in software development organization a plus.

Salary range: $85,960 - $122,800
