Guidehouse Senior Consultant - Clinical Solutions - Post-Acute Services in Topeka, Kansas

What You Will Do :

We are seeking a Senior Consultant – Clinical Solutions with professional experience working with hospital systems, payers, and/or delegated entities managing healthcare projects for improvement in operations, clinical services, or finances. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment to drive change create value and deliver excellence.

The ideal candidate will have hands on clinical or operational experience and ability to use process change and data to transform healthcare. Experience with Home Health and HomeCare HomeBase is required. Candidate may also have experience with hospital systems, post-acute facilities, or payers. Candidates must have an understanding of project management and deliver results to stakeholders.

As part of day to day work successful candidates will:

  • Provide project management for client engagements, managing day to day tasks to timeline, scope and budget.

  • Draft client deliverables, including synthesizing the strategic, financial and operational implications of analyses.

  • Manage client data acquisition, integration and analysis to conduct a wide range of payer and provider analytics including financial analysis, clinical, and operational benchmarking.

  • Coach junior staff.

  • Regularly facilitate meetings, present results and updates to clients.

What You Will Need :

  • Experience in Healthcare operations creating value through change.

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2-years or more of experience in post-acute clinical operations, transitions of care related work or possess MBA or MPH with 1+ years of experience in in post-acute clinical operations.

  • Knowledge of current trends including the impact of COVID 19 upon post-acute care, strategic positioning of post-acute programs and services and implications of healthcare reform initiatives (e.g., payment reform).

  • Capacity to adapt and influence others to understand and accept values, strategies, goals, and plans in response to changing business conditions.

  • Analytical skills related to independently interpreting, preparing, and analyzing data such as budget and workload data, post-acute performance, comparisons with relevant federal and/or other performance-based data benchmarking.

  • Understands qualitative and quantitative information to build client capabilities and appropriately determine priority areas of opportunity; able to interpret data effectively.

  • ​Able to effectively research industry requirements to bring clarity to complex environments, such as local market data, regulatory requirements, or industry benchmarks.

  • Able to develop project workplans and manage tasks and timelines.

  • High Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills and ability to independently produce documents flawlessly.

  • Collaborates with internal and external entities to improve process standards to reduce medical costs across the service delivery system.

  • Works effectively on a multidisciplinary team.

  • Demonstrates flexible, positive, clear interpersonal and communication skills with ability to facilitate the exchange of information within all levels of Guidehouse as well as client organizations.

  • Ability and willingness to travel full time (75%).

What Would Be Nice To Have :

  • Demonstrates an understanding of evolving reimbursement models, including commercial payers, Medicaid and Medicare.

  • Professional licensure

  • Previous strategy consulting experience

  • Ability to articulate an understanding of the continuum of care, including acute, post-acute, and community-based services

  • Knowledge and understanding of readmission prevention and chronic condition management with health systems, post-acute care and or payers.

The annual salary range for this position is $82,400.00-$164,800.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
