Job Description

The Reporting & Automation Analyst is responsible for identifying and implementing process automation and application improvements that significantly impact efficiency, quality and internal/external client satisfaction. This position is responsible for designing, developing and testing reporting and automation tools for processes defined within the department, and providing user support.


  • Consult with subject matter experts to establish specifications and agree on timeframe for completion of assigned projects

  • Research and recommend changes where technology can be better used within the team to improve efficiency, lower costs, and enhance the quality of delivery

  • Develop, modify, and test new and existing tools with the ability to package and distribute tools to end users

  • Assist in training and ongoing support for new and existing tools

  • Assist with process analysis and problem solving in order to identify opportunities that can be addressed via automation tools and/or applications

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science, IT, Economics, Statistics, Finance or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required

  • 2 years of work experience in programming, reporting, and/or data analysis, including

  • 1 year of experience using Visual Basic, C#, .NET, Java, or comparable languages

  • 1 year of work experience leveraging SQL, SAS Enterprise Guide and/or ad hoc Query Tools

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems using analytical tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SAS/query tools)

  • Ability to translate business requirements to technical specifications

  • Ability to create and successfully implement programs for automation

  • Time management and prioritization skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in PBM industry

  • Experience with RxClaim

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to a Principal in the Network Management department or a Director in the Clinical Review department

Potential pay for this position ranges from $60,900.00 - $91,500.00 based on location, experience and skills.
