Responsibilities

We are seeking a Project Manager excited about clean energy and sustainability to join our team at the staff level of a Managing Consultant. We are looking for an individual who can apply project management best practices across large clean energy program evaluation projects. You will support our project operations team with end-to-end project management activities including budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, staffing, execution, and continuous improvement.

Reponsibilities include:

  • Support budget formulation and track and forecast budget status, run reports, and reconcile financial transaction data in support of daily operations

  • Support the development of detailed project schedules and track and monitor schedule progress and risks

  • Facilitate client meetings to gather data and understand client needs and desired outcome

  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

  • Support the management of contracts with project subcontractors

  • Support the use of project management best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution

  • Identify and suggest process improvement opportunities

  • Work directly with clients in a responsive and caring way

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5-7 years professional working experience (excluding Internships, Co-ops, and fellowships) to include 3-5 years of project management experience

  • Familiarity with primary research methods such as surveys and interviews

  • Familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices

  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to travel

  • No sponsorship available for this position

    Preferred Qualifications

    In addition to the above listed:

  • Master’s degree

  • 3-5 years professional working experience excluding Internships, Co-ops, and fellowships

  • Empathy for how users experience products and services

  • Proficiency in MS Project

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or training

Additional Requirements

  • The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.

  • This salary range for this role is $80,700 USD to $121,200 USD depending on experience
