Meta Program Engineer, Connectivity COE in Topeka, Kansas
Summary:
Meta is seeking a Program Engineer, Connectivity Center of Excellence to join the Design Engineering and Construction (DEC) Delivery team. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our innovative services are delivered, and our rapidly scaling infrastructure operates. The team lights up Meta’s global data centers, delivering the physical infrastructure that connects the world to the videos, feeds, and other information stored on Meta’s server banks. The Program Engineer, Connectivity COE will serve as the DEC Delivery telecom subject matter expert (SME) supporting multiple data centers in an area while providing strategic program support in delivery while driving to global consistency in the field.This role provides for a system of control ensuring standardized builds around best practices and accelerated adoption of lessons learned. It will be integral in critical programmatic support around challenges to network planning and/ connectivity delivery. This regional SME provides support and expertise in the DEC telecommunication design, standards, products, quality, operations, tooling, and vendor management to the field.

Program Engineer, Connectivity COE Responsibilities:
- New site Startup – Serve as lead Telecom Delivery SME for new site start up within area of responsibility. Provides technical program support for new greenfield sites through onboarding of local staff. Project Delivery SME – Serve as the DEC regional escalation point supporting local project delivery Project Support-. Collaborates to deliver global training as well as the creation and updating of training materials. Strategy implementation- Continually review DEC technologies and best practices and drives consistent deployment into the Geo/Area of responsibility. Influences DEC design and products to ensure optimum constructability and job-site alignment. Evaluates key product strategy and introductions into DEC Design while preparing job sites for execution. Communications - Serves as representative for the area region with continual communications with the DEC back office, other regions, and all cross-functional partners. Vendor Management - Assists sites in optimizing vendor relationships and service delivery to DEC standards. Provides key input into QBR and HBR used to track and correct vendor quality performance. Quality - Supports local Field teams and Vendors in their site quality initiatives, providing strategic expertise and guidance to ensure the quality of installation and services per CCOE industry-leading standards of quality and reliability. Key problem solver of operational roadblocks. Works to drive Root Cause Analysis and linking back to lessons learned programs.
Minimum Qualifications:

8+ Years’ experience in structured cabling managing vendors in hyperscale data centers, large scale construction and/or other related fields
Experience managing the delivery of quality structured cabling installations in hyperscale data centers
Experience communicating and connecting with and influence a diverse group of stakeholders with different objectives
Experience creating and driving strategic initiatives across global portfolio
Experience training and mentoring others on technologies, installation methods, products, processes, etc.

10+ years’ experience in structured cabling installation, data center development and/or construction management experience
Experience managing IT or IP Network deployment projects in a mission critical environment requiring coordination across multiple disciplines for the delivery of a common goal
Experience in leading deployments of Network/Structure cabling infrastructure at scale
Experience and understanding in hyperscale network topography and design principles
Public Compensation:
$119,000/year to $168,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
