Acxiom LLC Principal Product Architect (Remote) in Topeka, Kansas

Acxiom is looking for an experienced principal product architect with a background in systems integration, data management, platforms as a service, application architectures and public cloud architecture This role will collaborate very closely with technical Product Management, Product Engineering, Solution Architect(s), and Product-Solutions Leader to define and influence the product and application components and integrations needed to create and deliver Acxiom solutions.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with others to understand business needs and how they translate to products and technologies. They will be very good at influencing and articulating needs and value in harmony with solution and product management and also capable of understanding and collaborating with engineering on technical design. Outstanding communication, collaboration, and leadership skills are critical to work with cross-functional teams.

This role can be located anywhere in the U.S.

What you will do:

  • Work with product, solutions and engineering to clearly define and articulate the vision and requirements for the Acxiom products within Solution and Analytics to achieve the goals around our solution offerings.

  • Define and clearly articulate the business needs and requirements for product, application, and integration components used to craft solutions.

  • Work with Product Management to articulate technical product requirements for product engineering, especially those that span various pieces of the product

  • Define the best ways to combine and integrate the products, applications, architecture to craft solution offerings working with product, solutions, engineering, partners, and IT

  • Provide consultation to internal account teams in the design and implementation of custom processes integrating with Acxiom products

  • Document and communicate the architectures and data flows for solutions in collaboration with Product Managers and Engineers

  • Collaborate with and provide input to product management, engineering, IT, and alliance partners on the technical architecture, details and technology of Acxiom solutions, including the impact on usability, stability, performance, cost and other requirements

  • Present architectural concepts, designs, and recommendations to multiple stakeholders, -including business, legal, technical, alliance, industry, and client - at the appropriate granularity.

  • Collaborate with others to define metrics, standards, estimates, processes, policies and procedures to drive achievement of goals for the company, division and product.

  • Keep up to date with the latest technology trends and specifically in technologies being used and considered in Acxiom solutions and very specifically public cloud technologies (AWS, GCP).

  • Keep informed and evaluate the latest industry news, trends, products, services, competitors and relevant existing and emerging technologies and share perspectives and information across teams.

PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Have or quickly achieve advanced knowledge of Acxiom products, solutions, development and support organizations.

CONSULTANT: Consistently provides proven, formal mentorship. - High complexity assignments. Owns high, complexity assignments. Provides oversight/mentorship on other assignments. Leads self and others. - Provides consultation, training, and knowledge sharing to associates. Understands how whole picture aligns to overall Acxiom strategy.

COMMUNICATION: Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills. Has the ability to communicate with VP and SVP-level management, external clients, internal cross-functional teams, business, legal, technical, partner, industry - at the appropriate granularity

LEADERSHIP: Leverages personal influence and relationships. Ability to build strong internal and external relationships. Supports corporate goals through his/her personal actions. Demonstrates the ability to deliver complex initiatives across multiple organizations. Makes sound recommendations with sound analysis, that add significant and broad benefits to a large team/group. This position does not have direct reports but may mentor others.

What you will have:

  • BS or MS or above in Computer Science, related science/mathematics field, or equivalent work experience

  • Hands-on experience with marketing platforms, adtech, data management platforms, data processing, data science, or data analytics

  • A background in SQL, data structures

  • Strong ability in work flows and diagrams

  • Data processing technologies for batch and real-time (Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Beam, Apache Kafka, Cloud Pub/Sub, and related technologies)

  • Familiarity with streaming and batch data collection, and data security methodologies

  • Working knowledge of Data APIs, Visualization tools, Analytics, Machine Learning, AI

  • Experience of working with public cloud architectures, at least one of either AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Excellent communication skills,

  • Ability to influence and collaborate with a cross-functional team of architect

  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work under minimal supervision

  • Self-motivated and desire to learn new technologies

  • Must be a strong team player and able to collaborate effectively

  • Proven ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise manner to technical and non-technical groups of varying levels

What will set you apart:

  • More than 10 years' experience in technical roles and/or architect roles

  • More than 4 years' experience with database marketing, direct marketing or interactive marketing environments

  • More than 2 years of public cloud experience

  • More than 2 years of experience in digital and/or real-time technologies and solutions
