SMX is looking for a Pricing Analyst to add to their pricing team. This role is 100% remote. The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for the development of price proposals/cost volumes for Federal Government proposals. The Pricing Analyst will support the Cloud Services business unit in support of capture efforts.

The Pricing Analyst will perform the following duties:

  • Provide pricing support to the proposal team for on-time submission of high-quality proposals

  • Collaborate with managers: Develop and maintain proposal schedule integrity, meeting all deadlines

  • Provide pricing strategy and discussions

  • Provide training and assistance to proposal team members regarding BOE development, proper justifications/rationale, and estimating techniques

  • Prepare Cost/Price volumes according to RFP requirement

  • Understand and comply with policies and practices for proposal preparation and submission

  • Ability to properly interpret RFP and support the proposal team in a compliant proposal submission

  • Be a team resource for Work Breakdown Structure development, proposal flow and structure, financial risk analysis and mitigation

  • Experience with AWS and Azure cost models

  • Ability to work in commercial, SLED, Federal and DoD industries

  • Maintain Commercial Catalog and GSA Rate Card

  • Able to complete AWS Business and Technical Professional certifications

  • Facilitate functional and division reviews, preparing financial slides and ensuring compliance to company policies

  • Provide post-proposal support to internal and external customers

  • Provide interface to finance for establishing initial budgets

  • Coordinate with contracts and PM to support negotiations

  • Safeguard data integrity and accuracy.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Clearance Requirement: None

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1-4 years of proposal/pricing analysis experience.

  • Advanced MS Excel spreadsheet skills to include pivot tables, array formulas, and circular references

  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations and the Code of Federal Regulations..

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, computation skills and research skills (including pricing and material availability)

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Deltek Costpoint experience a plus

  • Ability to handle multiple pricing efforts concurrently.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers, management, proposal teams, and customers.

  • Willingness to work unscheduled/extended hours and travel as required to support deadlines.

  • Manage competing priorities. Handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Be a team player, flexible, adaptable, proactive, with organizational and problem-solving skills.
