Job Description
The successful candidates must meet these requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree (e.g., PhD) a plus.
5+ years of experience in forecasting role(s)
Possess clear understanding of forecasting methods utilized in pharmaceutical industry
An understanding of the oncology market a plus
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Excellent organization and problem solving skills
Successful business development and/or sales experience
Ability to participate in and facilitate client and project team meetings to communicate and explain analysis results
Capable of developing cross-functional relationships within an organization
Fully proficient in software applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills that facilitate building of forecast models
Basic understanding of market research methodology employed in the pharmaceutical industry, advanced understanding is a plus
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Confidence to defend analyses, forecast assumptions, and recommendations to educated audiences, including internal colleagues and external clients
Consistent demonstration of maturity and diplomacy in the work environment
Strong business acumen
Willingness to collaborate internally with colleagues and externally with clients.
Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include:
Business Development (35%) – Selling Oracle Life Sciences Products and Services
Network internally with Client Partner Team to target existing client contacts for new business opportunities involving external forecasting support
Identify new client contacts for business opportunities involving external forecasting support among pharmaceutical manufacturers and other healthcare oriented companies
Engage onsite or remotely with clients to ascertain their need for external forecasting support.
Advise clients on options for forecasting solutions aligned with client’s business needs
Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations to capture new engagements and extend existing engagements
Serve as a client liaison for other products and services offered by Oracle Life Sciences
Deliverable Development (35%) – Creating models, tools, and forecasts
Develop forecast models for pharma and biotech products utilizing proprietary software and methodologies
Design custom forecasting models, tools, and other deliverables
Prepare market reviews, integrating epidemiology, current and future treatment practices, current and future competitors, anticipated future events, and integrating primary marketing research results
Provide recommendations to the client on appropriate actions or decisions based on the results of the engagement
Establish excellent working relationships with client engagement teams to ensure client satisfaction and operational excellence
Project Management (20%) – Leading Projects or Participating on Project Teams
Manage multiple engagements, balancing client expectations, workload, and timelines.
Ensure successful design, implementation, tracking and revision of project plans for assigned engagements.
Responsible for on time, on-budget provision of client deliverables for assigned engagements.
Ensure appropriate and timely communication on engagement-related matters with the internal project team.
Administration (10%) – Reports and Participation in other Activities
Complete Timesheets in timely manner
Complete Expense Reports in a timely manner
Complete periodic training on company policies and procedures
Plan travel, as appropriate for Business Development and Billable Client Meetings
Attend periodic internal business meetings, as requested
Stay current on email communications

Hiring Range: from $70,600 to $141,300 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
