Our Communications Media & Entertainment Advisory team consists of high caliber professionals hired directly from the Industry or top consultancy firms that help our most strategic customers define and address their most sophisticated technological and business challenges. We are currently looking for an experienced Leader to lead this team in Americas.
For decades Oracle has supported the largest and most sophisticated Communications Media and Entertainment companies in the world, and we are now looking to expand our relationships through building a team of senior leaders with a successful track record in building, driving and delivering technology led, transformation or change programs. With a strong understanding of the Communications Service Provider’s operations and landscape, we are expecting you to bring first-hand experience in some of the key technologies impacting the industry; Cloud, 5G network and monetization, cloud based network infra, IoT, application driven transformation. It is also crucial to be able to speak the language of customers, be it business or technology leader for Communications, Media & Entertainment.
We are expecting you to have many years of experience in crafting, leading and enabling a team of about 10 very senior executives.
Ensure alignment with the global industry vision and its execution.
Provide the team vision and strategy and ensure execution
Lead and grow a multi-disciplinary team of business value directors (e.g., ex-management consultants) and Enterprise Architect with a varied set of complementary skills
Build and nurture relationships with clients CxO & -1 at the leading Communications Service providers, be capable to connect with client execs in multiple functions and roles
Build strong and positive relationships with Oracle Strategic Client Leadership to identify their client’s imperatives, develop and propose solutions to those and then craft and nurture the engagement through to bid stage
Lead in developing the account penetration strategy with the Client Executives
Drive the largest bids and ensure the highest quality to increase penetration in the NA Comms Strategic Clients
Participate in and/ or ensure quality in client engagements with the most strategic Communications clients and deliver increased client happiness and better opportunities for Oracle
Collaborate with Oracle Cloud Engineering teams to influence Product Roadmap
Multi-disciplined: Continually evolve & innovate to bring new insights for investment and areas of potential to the table
Author thought leadership content on cloud benefits, industry trends and opportunities for various players in the market
Act as a subject matter authority in account planning sessions and quarterly business reviews
Bring a mind-set of ‘The Customer defines their success’ - bond over their problems not our solutions
Act as key source of market insights into how our clients operate and into client decision making
Demonstrate outstanding analytical and problem solving skills; outstanding ability to structure sophisticated problems, develop hypotheses, and present well-supported solutions
Experience and qualifications
15+ years combined experience in similar roles in leading organizations, especially top tier strategic consulting companies or value functions in industry companies or technology vendors
Must have a track record leading similar teams in leading organizations: people and organization leadership
Strong understanding of Sales and pre-Sales ecosystem, strategy, methods, reporting, etc.
Deep expertise in Communications Providers strategy and execution, focusing on Cloud, IT modernization, digitization, client experience, automation, IoT. Good understanding of Media & Entertainment industry would be desirable.
Oracle product and service experience or strong willingness to learn
Passionate about enabling digital solutions and cloud within the industry boundaries and pushing the limits towards next levels of technology adoption
Productive with passion for fast movement but understanding the need for outstanding quality
Able to gain trust and credibility operating at CxO or Head of BU collaborator levels
Willingness to travel to client locations for delivering key presentations (up to 30% of time)
Very strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to orchestrate and collaborate with diverse team members and external parties
Ability to engage, support and motivate teams and to oversee a variety of work streams simultaneously
Extensive history of Customer Advocacy with understanding on how to suggest competitive and innovative technical decisions, get client consensus and deliver commitments
Outstanding English communication skills, with the ability to present
