SHI Marketing Events Manager in Topeka, Kansas

Job Summary

Stratascale is looking for a passionate and confident experiential Marketing Events Manager. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of our external/customer events and some internal/employee events, from strategy to execution. This includesdefining the experience and content requirements, coordinating internal and external speaker talent, and managing key elements such as establishing event, directing creative aspects, storytelling planning, deployment, and analysis of return on event metrics.

The Marketing Events Manager will be responsible for bringing events to life, working closely with business, sales, and marketing leaders. This role requires cross-functional collaboration with each business unit, designing events that reinforce the Stratascale brand, strengthen our market positioning, drive client engagement, and enhance relationships that deliver revenue. We are looking for someone who loves events and conferences and has experience with both external/customer and internal/employee events.

The Marketing Events Manager will report to the Sr. Director of Marketing and will play a critical role in defining and executing Stratascale’s external event strategy. This position requires frequent travel and is a remote position with a home office setup.

Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, marketing partners, and cross-functional teams to develop and execute short- and long-term event strategies, budgets, roadmaps, and communication plans

  • Research and produce industry-leading conferences, including recruiting and confirming internal and external speakers for the event,conceptualizing booths, and managing booth vendor relationships end to end

  • Complete and manage event strategy plans, proposals, recommendations, and outside vendor statements of work and contracts

  • Coordinate and lead kick-off meetings, vendor meetings, and team meetings

  • Work directly with content owners and creatives to help structure, build, and manage presentations and own final changes

  • Oversee production and technical aspects

  • Manage communications with presenters and hosts to ensure they have the correct equipment (mic, camera), test internet connectivity, and liaise with management to procure equipment as needed

  • Work with Creative, Audio-Visual, and Platform and Streaming partners (both internal and external) to negotiate prices and establish solutions and timelines 

  • Research recent industry events and conferences, monitor best practices, and make recommendations

  • Manage all budget and related financial responsibilities and provide detailed post-show expense reporting

  • Lead post-mortem analysis and recommendations for future event improvement

  • Manage master show list, ensuring timeliness and accuracy

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in event management and production (exhibit booth, event design, and strategy experience needed)

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing, preferably in B2B SaaS

  • Significant experience in creating an integrated event plan and successfully delivering dozens of experiences that meet/exceed marketing objectives

  • Exceptional understanding of production, best practices, and best-in-class partners

  • Substantial event experience and experiential design of tradeshows and virtual events

  • Proficiency with event management systems and video streaming channels (e.g. YouTube Live, LinkedIn Live)

  • Willingness and ability to travel

  • Experience managing budgets and expense tracking

Unique Requirements

  • This role requires up to 50% travel

  • This role requires the ability to adjust your hours in support of an occasional after hours event and/or travels

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $60,000 - $110,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
