Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?
Travelers' Claim Organization is at the heart of our business by providing peace of mind to our customers during life's rainy days. Our Investigative Services Team provides industry-first resources designed to detect and deter fraudulent claims. As the Major Case Unit Investigative Analyst, you will proactively analyze data to determine fraud schemes, trends and conduct major case investigations. Your attention to detail and analytic curiosity will help determine potential fraud opportunities. You will leverage your ambition and bias toward action to drive and conduct thorough investigations.

What Will You Do?
Generate and conduct thorough multi-claim desk investigations while managing resources with a focus on uncovering all potentially fraudulent aspects of claims.
Make key decisions regarding major case investigations involving multiple claims and/or organized fraud ring activity.
Ability to identify, track, and analyze potential fraud schemes through analysis of data and internal resources.
With a high level of proficiency, independently work with various data tools to provide analysis and reports in response to requests for information.
Support the development of high-profile investigations through data utilization, collection, exploration and interpretation, transaction testing, and communications with internal and external business partners.
Apply local, state, and federal statutes to ensure investigations are carried out within the requirements of applicable law and local office expectations.
Report and provide recommendations on findings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Sciences, Criminal Justice or Finance preferred.
Six years of analytic work experience within the insurance, banking or related industry.
Understanding of medical terminology a plus.
Advanced data analytics and utilization skills with the ability to access, gather and interpret data independently and prepare for the presentation of findings.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey and explain results and influence others and workflows.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to create, foster and leverage relationships.
Advanced problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to think strategically.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work within tight timeframes, deadlines, and shifting priorities.
Experience with data gathering and visualization platforms/software (e.g., Qlik, SQL, SAS, i2).
What is a Must Have?
Five years of investigative work experience in the areas of fraud detection or risk management and three years of business analytics experience.
Valid Driver’s License
