Job Description: Performs various cleaning tasks to ensure the cleanliness of the patient’s home. These tasks include but are not limited to mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, sweeping, dusting, polishing, and buffing. Some of the places the employee would be expected to clean are patient’s bathrooms, bed rooms, hallways, floors and walls, lights fixtures and vents, common areas, and kitchens. Duties and Responsibilities:: * Vacuums patient’s homes- rooms, halls and common areas with carpeting. * Sweeps and mops tile and linoleum floors. * Dust all surfaces in resident homes (furniture, bed frames, window sills, etc.) * Empty and clean trashcans and barrels. * Clean bathrooms sinks, toilets, grab bars, floors and walls. * Clean mirrors and windows. * Dust ceilings, vents, lights and other high areas regularly. * Is required to move furniture to ensure cleanliness. * Is required to clean kitchen and dining areas- including, but not limited to, dishes. * Is required to clean all common areas * May be required to strip bedding and replace with clean linens per schedule or as needed. * Shopping may be required for the patient. * Provide laundry and linen services as required. * Assures personal and staff compliance to all state And Federal regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials, and fire safety. * Services will be within the scope and limitations set forth in the plan of care. * The homemaker assignment cannot be altered in type, scope or duration. * Assures personal staff compliance to Residents’ Rights. * Maintain all clincial records, which are necessary for documentation of duties performed for patient in a timely manner (must be in the office twice a week). * Accept duties on a roatation basis with other homemakers if necessary for a patient requiring seven day a week Homemaker services. * Accept direction from Administrator and Coordinator of Private Duty Services. * Attend mandatory inservices.
