Role Summary:

Lead GE Healthcare Litigation team with overall responsibility for global management of all GE Healthcare litigation, dispute resolution efforts, internal and external investigations and preventative law program.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Management and coordination of all litigation and dispute resolution matters at GE Healthcare.

• Leadership of GE Healthcare Litigation team managing current team and supervising lawyers responsible for litigation elsewhere around the globe.

• Management of all internal and external investigations

• Management of preventative law program and early warning system.

• Brief and develop strategy with Senior Management and Corporate level Legal Leadership.

• Global travel and coordination across various GE Healthcare business units and legal organizations.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. 10 years of litigation experience at an elite law firm or in a complex corporate law department

  2. Juris Doctor

  3. Substantial experience with government investigations including but not limited to with the Department of Justice

  4. Substantial experience in handling complex commercial and intellectual property litigation,

  5. Substantial experience in conducting and managing highly-sensitive internal investigations

  6. Excellent leadership capabilities and interpersonal skills to work effectively at all levels of the organization

  7. Excellent oral and written communication skills

  8. Ability to direct and manage relationships and budgets with outside counsel

  9. Prioritization skills and ability to drive projects to conclusion

  10. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a global environment

  11. Willingness to travel a minimum of 25% to 30% of the time domestically and globally

  10. Litigation Experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or Medical Device industry to include litigation with the Government and mass tort experience.

  11. Experience with laws specifically impacting healthcare industry to include False Claims Act, Anti-kickback statute, Food Drug and Cosmetic Act and their foreign counterparts.

  12. Experience with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations and litigation
