Our work depends on a Functional Reporting Analyst joining our team to support the CMS customer in the Maryland area.
At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Functional Reporting Analyst supporting a federal government customer, you will be trusted to support the Project Management team in collecting data, populate data into metrics, generate reports, create pivot tables, and create custom and ad hoc reports for data analysis. Analyze data and make recommendations for enhancements, process improvements and efficiencies.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Responsible for generating internal and external weekly and monthly status reports
Work directly with the project stakeholders to ensure that effective, measurable performance metrics are collected, analyzed, and presented on both an ad hoc and continual basis.
Responsible for supporting the tracking of project metrics
Responsible for developing custom and ad hoc reports for tracking various project metrics
Analyze report data, determine issues /trends and make recommendations for process improvements
Schedule and hold meetings to present the reports and discuss data with project teams
Build dashboards to support on-demand metrics representation
Work in collaboration with functional managers, clients and other stakeholders
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Accounting, business administration, information systems or a related field
3-5 years of work experience
MS Office skills: proven proficiency in Word, Excel, Visio
Proven experience in data analysis using MS Office tools
Experience in creating pivot tables
Experience in merging data from different sources
Experience in visualizing collected data
Desired Education and Experience
Self-motivated, detail oriented, with strong follow-up skills to ensure completion of tasks
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Independent, self-starter who can take minimal direction and complete tasks
Works well independently and with a team
Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills
Proven experience with metrics tools and techniques, a strong understanding of metrics best practices and have a strong knowledge of healthcare and a passion for quality
Must be familiar with the management, operational, and technical aspects of SDLC
Utilize predictive analysis to determine potential causes for incidents
