Job Duties: The position requires a high degree of initiative, discretion, and judgment. This position assists the Director of Supreme Court Appeals, Supreme Court Motions Attorney, and Supreme Court Central Staff attorneys. Work includes the following job duties: secretarial support; monitoring, organizing, and logging case filings; editing, proofing, and cite checking internal work product; drafting internal court documents; organizing and distributing materials for court conferences; posting materials to the court's website; and preparing monthly statics. The person in this position also performs related work as required. Hybrid remote work may be possible.

Required Education and Experience: Graduation from high school supplemented by secretarial science or legal assistant training. College degree and specialized legal training preferred, and work experience in a legal or court setting helpful but not required. Applicant should have excellent grammar, writing, editing, and legal citation skills. Strong computer competence, including advanced applications of all programs included in Microsoft Office Suite, also preferred. Knowledge of Westlaw Next not required but helpful. Applicant must be able to work independently but also collaboratively with other court staff and members of the court.
