Overview of Job Function

Verint’s Engineer, Cloud Automation promotes the improvement of governance, audit and compliance processes through automation for products provisioned in multiple cloud environments. This role serves as an integral part of the cloud operations team, collaborating between the CloudOps and DevOps teams. The Cloud Automation Engineer drives the production deployment process to completion with end-to-end automation and participates in Continuous Deployment activities.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Automate the provisioning, configuration and maintenance of the cloud infrastructure; defined as code that is secure, scalable, and highly available

  • Build, set up and maintain new development tools

  • Troubleshoot problems within automation tooling

  • Write specifications and documentation for automation tooling in a process-oriented fashion

  • Participate in project planning meetings to share knowledge of system options, risk, impact and cost/benefit information

  • Engage in code / design reviews and peer-programming efforts to build solutions

  • Review human-executed work tasks and design automation or pipeline improvements

  • Work with teams to create CI/CD pipelines to deliver autonomous deployments at scale

  • Design automation for Windows, Linux, and Containers in a complex global multi-cloud environment

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of study or relevant experience in lieu of education

  • 3 years' experience DevOps/Platform/Infrastructure role utilizing AWS / Azure / GCP

  • 3 years' experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure utilizing Terraform, Ansible, Python, Powershell

  • 2 years' experience with Python or other similar scripting language

  • 2 years' experience managing Jenkins or similar CI/CD service

  • 2 years' experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes

  • 3 years' experience with source control tools such as Git, Jira as well as documentation control tools such as Confluence

  • Experience interacting with REST APIs

  • Ability to work both independently as well as in a dynamic, distributed team environment

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong time management, written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Requirements

  • Azure/AWS associate certification
