Emerson Employee Engagement Product Owner in Topeka, Kansas
The Employee Engagement Product Owner works closely with HR leaders and key collaborators in the areas of employee communications, employee engagement and employee experience to build and implement a technology strategy and roadmap that achieves outstanding capabilities in these areas. Product scope includes information-sharing/communication platforms, survey/listening platforms, and efficiency/collaboration tools. This position also collaborates with product owners across other subject areas to apply a human-centered design approach to achieving a consistent, seamless, easy-to-use employee experience across all employee-facing systems. The product owner role serves as an internal customer advocate and bridge between the business and supporting IT Agile delivery teams. We look forward to seeing your application!

Work with the HR team responsible for employee engagement and employee experience to understand the overall strategy and translate to technology requirements
Understand employee engagement goals and supporting processes
Create arguments to justify implementation of new technology
Develop strategy to come up with insights / data on how to measure employee engagement
Collaborate between various functional organizations and IT organizations to align strategy, development of processes and workflows
- Translate key business goals and problems into user requirements and stories to be resolved through business processes or technology
Work closely with other product owners to ensure a consistent focus on employee experience and to understand alignments across entire tech stack and employee life cycle process
Apply human-centered design methods to process and system designs (e.g. persona development, user experience mapping, etc.)
Advocate for embedding employee engagement throughout the whole employee life cycle
Become subject matter expert of different HR technologies used to drive employee engagement
Conduct learning and product demo sessions
Evaluate and test employee engagement applications
Support HR organizations effective use of employee engagement tools
Set priorities
Works with solutions director and other business partners to identify most critical requirements
Responsible for ensuring backlog is prioritized and is aligned with business owner needs
Ensure the right product / solution is built and deployed
Ensure that product strategy and implementation remain connected through the value stream
Participate in solution management, program increment planning events and solution demos
Work with and support IT Agile teams to ensure that the product is built correctly, aligning with original value proposition, and is deployed according to the continuous delivery pipeline
WHO YOU ARE:
You ensure that delivered HR technology solutions meet the needs of employees, managers, leadership, and the HR employee engagement organization
You plan and align work with collaborators within, but not limited, various functions across HR and IT
You Comfortably work with people across different levels and functions within the organization
You identify key areas within the employee life cycle that can have a significant impact to an employee’s experience.
You work with global regional teams considering differences in culture that may impact employee engagement
Required education, experience & skills:
3+ years of proven experience in a similar position
Managing or subject matter expertise in enterprise-wide employee engagement/experience initiative
Strong consideration for candidates who have experience in implementing or managing employee experience systems/tools
Experience working with cross functional teams within the HR, Marketing and IT organizations
Proficiency in Microsoft suite of tools including MS Office, Teams, and SharePoint
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable with advising and evaluating tasks/activities
Project management and planning experience
Can navigate working in a global environment / travel if needed / work on different schedule at times
Adjust schedule as vital to foster effective communication across time zones

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $150,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to this role
