TEKsystems Data Visualization Engineer (Power BI) in Topeka, Kansas
Description:
This position is responsible for supporting the strategic data initiatives that drive business profitability, insight, increased efficiencies, and improved customer experience. The ideal candidate would be able to apply consultative skills and technical expertise to business challenges and develop visualizations built upon a variety of technologies and data sources. They will identify, design, and execute visualization approaches and visually articulate cohesive analysis results. They must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a data science related field.
• Five plus years of experience transforming and analyzing data from multiple sources to drive business insights.
• Five plus years of advanced data visualization and data modeling experience using technologies such as Power BI, Power Query, APIs, DAX queries, functions, filters, graphs, and MDX.
• Advanced skills in creating graphs, filters, functions, parameters, and data models.
• Working knowledge and experience with Azure technical stack (e.g., Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Python) is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter and intellectual curiosity to seek solutions without direction.
• Excellent communication skills and experience successfully partnering with both technical and non-technical stakeholders within the company to drive improved outcomes for the business through analytics.
• Proven ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy and detail orientation.
• Proven ability to deliver presentations to stakeholders that tell a compelling story using analytics relevant to the audience.
• Passion for continuous learning.
• Strong project management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Two or more years’ experience with Agile development methodologies is preferred.
• Must be able to work and travel independently and use general office equipment.
