Assist the manager with integrating and coordinating the overall activities of the department to achieve corporate goals and objectives. Accountable for the evaluation, selection and implementation of project requirements which often include developing new techniques and/or incorporating new technologies. Create and maintain effective working relationships with assigned staff, management of key business units, vendors, consultants/contractors, and other operational units within Information Technology & Services. Participate in division and unit planning processes. Supervise the execution and maintenance of systems and/or services assigned to the team. Responsible for tactical and operational planning for a one to three year window for area of responsibility. Possess a genuine passion for data to drive organizational use of data for business insights and data governance practices.
+ Focusing on driving strategic use of data in the enterprise and create the role and priorities of analytics across the enterprise.
+ Developing and managing the relationship between the Business and Analytics CoE.
+ Establishing long term and short term strategies for data and analytics use in business areas.
+ Establishing and overseeing the Analytics Center of Excellence and Data Governance to coordinate roles, responsibilities and actions of data owners across the business.
+ Ensuring that basic metrics for data analytics architecture, systems and processes are identified, implemented and sustained.
+ Proposing leading analytics, intelligence and insights to business.
+ Promote use of analytics and consistent use of data across the organization.
+ Be aware of market trends and direction and proactively develop data and analytics solutions.
+ Adapt and integrate appropriate technologies to key projects and systems/services to facilitate the attainment of corporate goals and objectives.
+ Participate in negotiations for software, outsourcing services and vendor supplied services and contracts.
+ Identify and recommend long-term direction for application/infrastructure systems design.
+ Act as Service Provider for assigned systems/services.
+ Forecast and allocate resources in order to satisfy client demand for services and appropriately staff projects.
+ Interview and select employees.
+ Select and supervise contractor staff, when applicable.
+ Make salary and promotion recommendations to the manager.
+ Recommend goals and document results for the salary incentive program for the individual team members.
+ Actively contribute to the success of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library ( ITIL ) processes.
+ Ensure project management principles are adhered to.
+ Ensure the established change management process is followed.
+ Oversee systems operating performance for proactive problem prevention.
+ Have a valid driver’s license.
+ Must be accessible via mobile services (i.e. text, voice, data) and is therefore expected to be available to timely respond during non working hours as scheduled and needed, in accordance with the written guidelines of the department applicable to the position .
+ Participate in the coordination of test systems refreshes.
+ A Bachelor Degree is preferred.
+ Completion of the Blue University Leadership Exploration curriculum is required for applicants within three years of starting the position.
+ Project Management certification is preferred.
+ Requires a minimum of ten years total experience in Information Technology areas and/or systems including at least two years as a Senior System Administrator or Lead Developer or equivalent experience.
+ Data Warehouse, business intelligence and analytic experience preferred.
+ Must have proven leadership, successful project and resource management skills.
+ Must have successfully managed at least one IT discipline as well as performed regular and critical maintenance tasks within defined service levels for that discipline.
