Description
As a Data Analyst, you will focus on translating data into business intelligence as requested and desired by the business. You will actively engage with the business to understand challenges related to interpreting data, standardizing data sources, and facilitating insightful reporting of business trends and patterns.
Responsibilities
Work with business partners to gather and understand functional requirements, develop complex queries, and provide insightful dashboards/reports
Engage the functional business teams with a consultative approach and be the data subject matter expert
Support the development, enhancement, and deployment of an end-to-end data lifecycle management process
Participate in the application and deployment of data policies as well as the enforcement to include areas such as data ingestion, data engineering, and data management
Be a self-starter, connect the dots, look at the big picture, and get into the details when necessary
Qualifications
Experience working directly with business owners to field requirements and interpret results
5+ years of business experience developing, maintaining, and interpreting data, reports, and insights
3+ years of relevant work experience in data quality management, information architecture and governance implementation
Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships and gain business insights
Proficient in leveraging Power BI to deliver enterprise scale reports/dashboards, scorecards, and ad-hoc reports to provide critical business insights
Advanced level skill in DAX and M language required
Proficiency in data wrangling, modeling, and data visualization techniques
Strong SQL experience preferred
Experience interacting with database and file storage systems
Strong analytical, critical and systems thinking required
Analytics/Visualization tools – Alteryx, R, Python is a plus
