Job Description Summary
Responsible for creating complete and accurate loan documentation to ensure a legally enforceable contractual agreement between the borrower and the bank while satisfying all internal and external regulatory requirements. Provides a high level of customer service to internal and external customers and ensures that Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met. Serves as a resource to other less experienced staff members. Responsible for training new staff members.
Essential Job Functions
Prepares required loan documentation for all real estate and personal property consumer transactions utilizing Laser Pro software, ensuring a legally enforceable agreement between borrower and the bank.
Reviews title work for state specific requirements, file contents for all applicable supporting documentation, determination of rescission requirements for real estate secured transactions, and verification of the rate as documented in the application processing system.
Reviews loan documentation packages prior to submitting to branch to ensure accuracy and completeness. Checks for spelling errors, correct rates, accurate legal descriptions, the inclusion of all required documents, and determines whether rescission applies.
Partners with staff members to resolve any questions or issues associated with specific transactions.
Receives questions and assists branch personnel and sales representatives regarding loan documentation (i.e. verbiage, titling, disbursements,etc).
Prepares daily and weekly management reports to reflect volumes and metrics.
Responsible for training new Doc Prep Processors.
Serves as a resource for questions for less experienced Doc Prep Processors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associates Degree in Businessor Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience - Required
Required Experience:
Requires advanced knowledge within a specific disciplinetypically gained through extensive work experience and/or education.
Requires 7 years minimum experience. May require vocationalor technical education in addition to prior work experience.
Experience in a high volume/production environment preferred
Good knowledge of consumer loan and line documentation
Good knowledge of consumer loan compliance regulations
Knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office software, includingWord and Excel
