Ford Motor Company Core Payments Product Manager in Topeka, Kansas

The Ford Motor Credit Company team helps put people behind the wheels of great Ford and Lincoln vehicles. By partnering with dealerships, we provide financing, personalized service and professional expertise to thousands of dealers and millions of customers in over one hundred countries around the world.

In this role, you will be the product lead for a team building and delivering new payment platform capabilities for our most critical customer experiences. This role will be fairly tactical, with a heavy focus on prioritization, managing stakeholders, regulatory compliance, and coordinating across teams to get things built, tested, and launched.

In this position...

  • As a Product Manager for the Payments Domain, you will build meaningful payments platform features that create compelling experiences for our customers and stakeholders while maintaining 100% compliance.

  • You will launch driven differentiators that will grow Ford and Lincoln as the preferred choice for our customers.

  • You will lead with deep customer empathy and rely on data and user research to make informed decisions with proven product instincts.

What you'll do...

  • Dynamically deliver tailored and streamlined payments microservices that will be leveraged by teams to deliver best in class products.

  • Partner with a wide matrix of stakeholders across product, engineering, customer service, marketing, and legal to understand customer, business, and compliance needs and deliver best in class services to satisfy them.

  • Effectively manage backlog prioritization, weighing inputs from many sources to maximize ROI and minimize the time-to-value

  • Define release/rollout plans and obtain stakeholder buy-in

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s Degree- STEM-related field preferred

  • 6+ years of related experience in Product Management, technology, payments, or payments operations

  • Experience in agile methodologies and writing detailed product requirements

Even better, you may have...

  • Prior experience in payments, billing, or receivables

  • Expertise in building customer facing user experiences for Payments, payments processing, or other fintech areas

  • Experience working in a regulated environment and an understanding of what it takes to maintain regulatory compliance

  • A software development background or background as a technical product manager.

  • Knowledge of Domain Oriented Microservices

  • Evidence of strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Experience in working in a matrixed team structure and influencing across product areas and multiple functional areas.

  • Experience with large-scale enterprise applications,

  • Ability to collaborate and navigate sophisticated decision making in a constantly evolving environment

  • Strong multi-functional relationship building and communication skills.

  • Prior cloud platform experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform

  • Demonstrated understanding of approaches to risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
