MassMutual B2B System Consultant in Topeka, Kansas
If you tend to lean towards the analytical, enjoy the detail, and dabble in low code/no code development this may be the position for you. A successful candidate will bring experience working with annuities, preferably in back-office carrier operations or within product development team. An eagerness to learn will be key for this role as we will look to invest in the training and growth of the right applicant while they develop in this niche skill set of business-to-business activities. We are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills who is self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented. You will be responsible for soliciting and clarifying product and new business requirements, maintaining all MassMutual annuity product profiles within our order entry applications, and will be accountable for the health of this data and functionality through the lifecycle of these products.
Partner with internal and external Distribution teams to bring new firms/products onto the platforms
Elicit and clarify business requirements in order to translate to technical configuration requirements
Identify and experiment with new ways to improve the order entry process and experience
Update product and distributor profiles, and create new profiles using VTXML tools
Update forms (tagging, forms xml coding, business rule changes, etc.) as needed
Unit test all platform changes by keying cases, generating output, etc., and participate in end-to-end testing with internal QA resources and external firms
Analyze and resolve production support issues, including root causes
Analyze and disseminate the vendor platform release documentation to various stakeholders and IT resources across the company to ensure all required changes are implemented correctly
Complete required MassMutual project documentation, including for production releases, etc.
2 years of related experience in annuity back office operations or an annuity product-focused role
Strong understanding of retail annuities, including product features such as DCA, income payments, and compensation schedules
Ability to research/resolve issues from internal and external partners and communicate outcomes and any action plans
Knowledge of both sides of the sales process (Distributor and Carrier)
Fast learner – the ability and commitment to get up to speed with MassMutual practices and industry position quickly
Previous experience working with outside carriers/distributors/firms a plus
Target job salary: $55,800.00 - $97,700.00 USD Annual
