Onsite - Day Shift

As a (Premix) Production Planner at our new Animal Nutrition and Health Tonganoxie, KS location, you will work to ensure the overall business plan is fulfilled and all ANH blend products are manufactured at the assigned production site by agreed upon deadlines. This role supports business objectives of premix facility by performing variety of functions in accordance with ANH Premix procedures. They maintain, generate, and distribute documentation associated with functional areas of production, distribution, finance, and administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates & releases process orders in SAP, sequences process orders in PCS for production based on OMS sequencing SOP & WI’s. Coordinates any delays/issues of premix orders with Customer Service.

  • Establish and maintain inventory levels of group-supplied and 3rd party raw materials for the blend facility through Supply Chain and Purchasing departments. Ensures production levels and product turnover are consistent for customer expectations and operation performance. Coordinate weekly cycle counts to ensure accuracy of SAP inventory.

  • Coordinate with Nutritional Services on rework of failed batches via SAP. Coordinate with Nutritional Services to disposition blocked stock of finished premix or raw materials.

  • Follows up with Supply Chain & Purchasing on late deliveries of raw materials.

  • Works with plant management on the disposition of any expired/slow-moving ingredients or failed premix batches.

  • Monitor all sales orders for accuracy. Provides follow up with Customer Service such as complaints, late deliveries, damaged goods, or customer returns making sure a mutually beneficial resolution is achieved.

  • Provide regular guidance and support to other employees regarding production priorities.

Frequent travel to Ames, IA and Ft. Worth, TX for Training. (First 2-3 months)

You bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or applicable technical degree preferred.

  • APICS CPIM preferred, SAP experience preferred, freight experience preferred.

  • Background working in Ingredients, preferably “premix”.

  • Experience in manufacturing and quality systems with an understanding of weights and measurements along with blend plant equipment knowledge and troubleshooting abilities.

  • Minimum of 3 years in a production role with progressive responsibilities. Must demonstrate the ability to work with minimal direction.

  • Strong SAP and PowerPoint skills.

  • Requires a broad range of office and technical skills related to a manufacturing environment (ISO, HACCP, OHS), with specific knowledge of specialized software programs such as SAP and Microsoft Office Suite. Require strong demonstration of multi-tasking and prioritization capabilities. Independent thinker with strengths in problem solving, trouble shooting and attention to detail based on set parameters.

  • Must have: Ability to monitor and review statistical data and translate into concise informative reports; Strong analytical capabilities; Good communications skills; The ability to present ideas.
