The Role:
The Great Plains Division currently has an opening for a 1st ShiftForklift Operatorin theWeldingDepartmentat theTiptonfacility.
This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
Responsibilities:
- Service the weld department by ensuring the proper parts and materials are available at the proper place and time
- Maintain inventory accuracy at all times
- Understanding and use of AS400 and RF units to find location of parts, routing, product structure and parts availability
- Assist in receiving of parts from vendor and route truck
- Assist with cycle counts as needed
- Daily inspection and safe operation of forklift
- Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment
Qualifications:
- Must have forklift experience
- Understand team concepts and be a strong team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to excel in a fast paced, high pressure situations and be results oriented
- Understanding of lean concepts and willing to implement change
