Essential Functions and Responsibilities: • Performs diversified accounting, auditing, and tax assignments under the general direction of manager or shareholder. • Understands the rules, regulations, and Code of Professional Conduct of the AICPA. • Prepares the engagement letter and any subsequent modifications for approval by a shareholder, responds to and resolves client questions and concerns and ensures a complete understanding of the nature and terms of an assignment, including an estimate of fees. • Demonstrates competency in technical skills, work quality, and application of professional and firm standards. • Manages workload to ensure client deadlines are met. • Participates in planning material and content for client engagements. • Directs and instructs assistants, where applicable, in work to be performed and working paper review. • Manages the preparation, approval, and submission of client financial reports according to the client's instructions. • Prepares other reports, projects, and duties as may be assigned. • Supervises staff accountants. • Develops skills necessary to ensure quality client relationships and loyalty. • Understands, follows, and enforces the Company’s policies, procedures, and work rules. • Ability to work hours necessary to meet deadlines for work assigned. • Understands the rules, regulations, and Code of Professional Conduct of the AICPA • Understands, follows, and complies with the Company’s policies, procedures, and work rules. • Ability to work hours necessary to meet deadlines for work assigned.
Additional Responsibilities: • Begin to develop a command of GAAP, unique or specialized accounting principles, and financial statement presentations. • Obtain a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques. • Assume responsibility for efficiently supervising both audit and non-audit engagements. • Perform additional duties as assigned

4-5 years audit experience (preferably public accounting) Accounting degree or similar CPA highly desired

Required Qualifications: • Individuals at this level generally have three to five year’s experience as a staff accountant. • CPA • Strong technical knowledge and skills. • Proficiency in use of computers and computer accounting and audit and tax software. • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. • Creative problem-solving ability. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Strong project management and team management skills. • Experience in delivery of quality client service. • A working knowledge of firm products and services in the practice area, and a general knowledge of products and services in other practice areas.
