Schedule: Full Time
Shift: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 5:00pm, hours may vary
Location: Will float between practices located in Johnson, Miami, and Douglas Counties

The role you’ll contribute:
The Uncertified Medical Assistant - under close supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as follows AdventHealth service standards. This includes safely and effectively greeting patients, obtaining clinical information, financial and demographic information. Responsible for assisting providers during treatment and examination and may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider upon successful completion of necessary competencies. Performs office duties as needed, which includes but is not limited to, verifying insurance, collecting co-pays and scheduling necessary appointments.

Assist with screenings per physician orders and enters all information accurately and at the time of service or results.
May be responsible for assisting with minor procedures associated with specialty care.
May be required to travel to satellite offices.
Ability to function and assist others in stressful, fast-paced environments and effectively apply stress management techniques.
Experience with computers, telephone, fax machine, copier, stethoscope, EKG machine, pulse oximeter, oxygen devices, wheelchairs, stretchers, scales, glucose monitor, and other patient care equipment necessary to perform required duties as appropriate to the scope of the practice.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Current Medical Assistant Certification is required. Please inquire which credentialing bodies are approved.
BLS obtained through the American Heart Association
