The role you’ll contribute:
Clinically trained minister serving as the leader responsible for overseeing the chaplain team. Together with the chaplain team, the senior chaplain provides spiritual care to our customers and their families, partners, and team members.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Participates as a member of the healthcare team in evaluating spiritual needs
· provides one-to-one, short-term spiritual support to patients
· Also provides supportive brief spiritual counseling and community referrals
· Provides in-services, seminars and/or workshops for team members and community in various areas of need
· Actively supports Mission integration through initiatives such as Spiritual Ambassadors and Creation Health within the organization
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
· Master of Divinity or equivalent meeting the Association of Professional Chaplains requirements
· Minimum of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by Association for Clinical Pastoral Education
· A minimum of 3 years of experience as a chaplain are preferred
· Ordination/commissioning or Licensure as minister in good standing with the Seventh-day Adventist Church
· Eligible for Board Certification with the Association of Professional Chaplains
