Optical/Medical Assistant

The Optical/Medical Assistant responsibilities include a wide range of duties

assisting in our eye care and nursing departments.

In the eye care department, the Optical/Medical Assistant will use optical

equipment to perform the initial testing needed to prepare a patient for an exam

with an optometrist.

In the nursing department, the Optical/Medical Assistant will assist with nursing

duties, such as checking patients in, keeping providers on schedule.

This position may also serve as backup to other departments as needed.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and 1 year of experience in a medical

or optical environment (not required but is beneficial).

Screening and interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.
