RESPONSIBILITIES: * Promotes workplace safety and environmental practices. * Performs troubleshooting and repairs to residential and commercial HVAC systems. * Performs HVAC system inspections and recommended preventive maintenance. * Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. * Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: * Must have valid driver\'s license and good driving record. * Knowledge of HVAC installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance. * Ability to perform preventive maintenance according to published guidelines. * Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade. * Knowledge of refrigerant recovery. * Knowledge of mechanical equipment and controls, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT: * Work involves some exposure to unusual elements such as: extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, chemicals, and/or loud noises. * Considerable physical activity. * Requires heavy physical work: heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling of equipment. * Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job. * Some work requires the use of ladders and sometimes extreme heights.
