Great Plains Manufacturinghas an opening for a1st ShiftForklift Operatorin the Fabrication Department at our CE location in Salina, KS.
This position works Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations
- Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy
- Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment used
- Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate
- Load and unload trucks
- Other duties as assigned such as driving a truck and working with other departments
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understand team concepts and be a strong team player
- Excel in fast paced, high-pressure situations
- Ability to use and understand AS400
- Ability to read prints and be able to use tape measure, calipers, etc. as required\ \
