This position oversees the day-to-day operations of the unit with minimal direction and is responsible for administering and completing certain vital functions by planning, organizing, and implementing activities that support academic and student service functions of the institution.Duties include: Greets and directs visitors, faculty, staff and students Completes pre-advising information for student advising appointments Creates and maintains student advising files Schedules student appointments with Academic and Student Services Staff Maintains Academic and Student Services website Assists campus Registrar with academic and curricular processes Coordinates campus event for Career and Employment Services Gathers information from employers for job postings for students Manages campus ID system Creates reports by integrating spreadsheets, queries, tables, databases, etc. Manages a complex electronic calendar system for Academic and Student Services staffWe Support Diversity and Inclusion:Kansas State University embraces diversity and promotes inclusion in every sector of the institution. Preferred Qualifications: Two years of experience in an administrative office with background in higher education, accounting, procurement, and information systems. Two years of experience with the full Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat. Good oral and written communication skills. Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize. Ability to be successful in a high-traffic office. Ability to exercise independent judgement in evaluation situations and making decisions. Knowledge of KSU Academic Policies and Procedures. General knowledge of state and federal laws, rules and regulations. Ability to develop complete projects on an independent basis. Knowledge of University computer applications such as Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS) and KSIS.Other Requirements: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment. Valid driver's license upon employment.
