This job was posted by https://www.kansasworks.com : For more information, please see: https://www.kansasworks.com/jobs/12783211 Description: The Business Account Manager (BAM) will oversee and coordinate services and processes that promote successful placement and Registered Apprenticeship achievements for MeadowLARK participants in the community once released from the correctional facility, while enhancing prospects for long term retention. The BAM consults with customers through face-to-face conferences, by phone and through written correspondence. The BAM works with closely with the MeadowLARK Employment Specialists and our customers to identify barriers and strengths in order to empower them to select appropriate resources and develop strategies related to their employment goals and self-sufficiency plans. In addition, the BAM works closely with employers to ascertain employment needs and maintains contact once a participant is placed. Significant Travel is Required. The BAM is an hourly position.

Helps participants establish and maintain career goals and make plans to achieve the

career they desire.

Conduct Registered Apprenticeship and general employer outreach.

Work with employers to identify staffing patterns, skill requirements, support needs,

accommodations, training preferences and job descriptions which meet the needs of

the employer and EDK participant.

Coordinate participant service strategies with the MeadowLARK team and department

of Corrections Staff.

Provide and coordinate business training.

Develop and maintain relationships local Economic Development and Chamber of

Commerce to establish a connection between economic development and workforce

development specifically the MeadowLARK Program.

Participate in the Local Area I Business Services Team.

Collect and compile EDK Business Services reports including ETO and other activity

reporting.

Builds ongoing, one-on-one relationships with participants serving as an advisor to help

the participant learn new skills and practice new behaviors.

Fosters participant self-esteem, motivation, integrity and personal responsibility.

Assists participant with essential employment activities.

Facilitates support of the participant through all steps of their Registered

Apprenticeship and Employment

Serves as liaison among participants, case managers, training providers, and

employers.

Prepares and educates employers on how to work with targeted populations in the

most effective way.

Maintains employer contacts once participants are employed to ensure a positive and

lasting relationship.

Advocates for the participants in general by providing exposure and visibility within the

employer community

Performs other duties as assigned.
