Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for a Diversity Regional Recruiter in the Admissions department. The primary function of the Diversity Regional Recruiter is to develop, implement and administrate the strategies related to the marketing, recruiting, admission and enrolling of undergraduate students to Pittsburg State University. The Diversity Regional Recruiter manages targeted high schools and community colleges, develops collegial relationships with school personnel and other constituents and identifies and recruits appropriate applicants. The Diversity Regional Recruiter works in conjunction with the Student Diversity Office to reach recruitment and retention goals for students from underrepresented populations.

Duties and Responsibilities of Position

• 50% - Initiate and implement recruitment activities within assigned area, including visits to secondary schools, community college; attendance at local, regional and national fairs; and assist with recruitment and marketing programs developed in collaboration with the assigned area as appropriate, focusing on serving students from underrepresented populations.

{=html} <!-- --> - 20% - Correspond with prospective students, applicants, university alumni, community college advisors, members of university community, and others seeking information on admission standards and curricular and co-curricular programs.

{=html} <!-- --> - 15% - Maintain close relationship with the Office of Admission, including monthly visits to campus and aid in the daily activities in the office when requested.

{=html} <!-- --> - 10% - Collaborate with the Student Diversity Office and select student organizations on issues of recruiting and retaining underrepresented students.
