JOB SUMMARY

Responsible to provide the vision and leadership for the development and implementation of the organization’s IT infrastructure and technology initiatives across all areas of the organization. Responsible for leading IT Infrastructure strategy and operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for infrastructure: compute, I/O, network, infrastructure architecture

  2. Define and implement Infrastructure strategy and standards for the enterprise

  3. Plan and manage annual IT infrastructure budget

  4. Responsible for service desk, IT Operations, application maintenance and support

  5. Responsible for SOX compliance for IT functions

  6. Keep pace with new technologies in area of responsibility. Direct the evaluation and selection of these technologies

  7. Responsible for End User services including Hardware (desktop/laptop, tablets, smart phones) and Collaboration (email, Teams IM/conferencing, and SharePoint)

  8. Responsible for IT procurement and vendor contract negotiation/management

  9. Develop and sustain a high-performance organization. Provide for continued development and growth of employees

  10. Responsible to complete company initiative to migrate off the mainframe

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in related field.

  2. Fifteen plus (15 ) year’s IT infrastructure experience including five plus (5 ) years in a management role.

  3. Varied experience across IT infrastructure components (server, storage, network, ITSM, Information Security, etc.)

  4. Experience managing teams of fifty (50) or more IT resources, current team at Yellow sized at 150

  5. Experience managing distributed, 7X24 computer operations.

  6. Experience planning and managing annual IT budgets of $10M .

  7. Experience defining IT infrastructure strategy/roadmaps.

  8. Platform selection and implementation for large scale, complex environments.

  9. Understanding of ITIL model or similar framework for IT service delivery.

  10. Disaster Recovery implementation.

  11. IT vendor management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Advanced degree or studies in related field.

  2. Data center migration and cloud experience.

  3. Implementation of Infrastructure as a shared service.

  4. Experience moving infrastructure to cloud or managed service.

  5. ITIL certification.

  6. Freight and logistics industry experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a hybrid professional office environment indoors and remote woork. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
