Technical and Automation Analyst - ( 2004SE )

Primary Location : US-KS-Overland Park

Shift : Night Job

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible to create, deliver and maintain production and ad hoc reports that document team cycle time, accuracy and costs, and chart team improvements and opportunities. Deploy new tools such as small applications, programs and macros that automate repetitive steps and produce consistent cost effective results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Create and maintain production dashboards and reports through the use Business Objects, SAS, Excel, Access, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), etc. leveraging data from EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse), mainframe, customer websites, and other data sources.

  2. Identify, create, deploy, and maintain program macros, applications and tools which automate repetitive steps and produce consistent cost effective results.

  3. Assist with analytics and reporting projects to improve accuracy and production results.

  4. Act as a SME (subject matter expert) on revenue management data, reports and tools to other internal departments and teams.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  2. Strong background in reporting, process improvement, automation and/or application development.

  3. Demonstrated problem resolution skills to identify customer/program requirements and opportunities.

  4. Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Two (2) years of experience in a reporting and programming role in a business setting.

  2. Software knowledge: Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word and Excel, Exceed Hummingbird (Mainframe Programming), OnBase, and Business Objects.

  3. Programming language experience: Java, SQL, JCL, SAS, M204, VBA, VBS, and HTML.

  4. Past data management experience (mining, analysis, record keeping).

  5. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) experience.

  6. Experience in a team oriented work environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs. of supplies and materials is required.
