Olsson Team Leader - Power Program Management in Overland Park, Kansas

As a Team Leader for our Power Program Management team, you will be responsible for the overall financial performance, leadership, and management of a team. The ideal candidate will have previous project management experience working with power delivery clients and the ability to work well with other companies. This also includes helping team members with professional development and managing high performance expectations, client relationships, and project production/quality. Primary Responsibilities include: * Provides daily management and leadership for a team. * Responsible for working with our Power Delivery clients to manage the deliverable on time and on budget while representing the client. * Manages the team financials for profit and communicates with team members. * Coordination with Team Leaders to develop, maintain and monitor project level scope, schedule, budget, and resourcing requirements with our Power Delivery clients. * May manage projects with current and future power clients and assist the project team with project management duties. * Ensures high client service orientation through regular and effective communication with internal and external clients. * Identifies and leads the succession plan for the team, including working with staff on their Individual Development Plans (IDPs), identifying high-potential employees, and regularly meeting with office leaders and business partners in workforce planning initiatives. * May serve in advisory or committee roles for external professional organizations that affect public relation efforts for the firm. * Oversees marketing efforts for repeat clients and local opportunities for the team, which include client strategy, proposal process, interviewing, and selection efforts. * Collaborates with business development staff to pursue additional client opportunities. /Successful candidate for this role will be based out of our Overland Park, KS, Joplin, MO or Fayetteville, AR offices./ You are passionate about: * Working collaboratively with others * Having ownership in the work you do * Using your talents to positively affect communities * Empowering others to use their talents You bring to the team: * Strong communication skills * Ability to contribute and work well on a team * Bachelor’s degree in related field * Technical experience in the Power Delivery field * Professional Engineer License is preferred * A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in the consulting industry * Minimum of 4 years of experience supervising others, serving in project management roles, and/or performing senior-level responsibilities * Daily management and leadership for a team Qualified candidates will: * Become thoroughly familiar with the content of Olsson’s Project Management Development program. * Have a proven track record in meeting and exceeding client expectations through excellent project management and staffing. * Has successful experience in marketing and developing business to build and maintain a strong workload for the team. * Has an ability to attract, develop, and retain talented staff who deliver results. * Have excellent client management, client service orientation, and writing and presentation skills Olsson is a nationally recognized, employee-owned firm specializing in planning and design, engineering, field services, environmental, and technology.
