YRC Freight Talent Acquisition Coordinator in Overland Park, Kansas

JOB SUMMARY

Will collaborate with a team of recruiters in a fast-paced recruiting organization supporting our field operations team. Effectively partner with candidates and management with strong communication skills, and ability to constantly adapt to business needs and priorities as it relates to the staffing process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Administer requisition system management according to established guidelines. This includes the opening and posting new positions and closing filled positions.

  2. Partner with recruiters to ensure a positive candidate and hiring manager experience. Serve as a main point of contact throughout the onboarding process.

  3. Manage, quality check and maintain open positions in ORC. This includes job postings on our internal/external career sites.

  4. Reviews, and clears background checks, drug screening and ensures documentation is in accordance with all legal guidelines.

  5. Compose and maintain accurate electronic files and information for tracking and compliance manages confidential documents pertaining to candidate details and company procedures.

  6. Build effective partnerships with all levels of management across the business to create continuity and alignment around the recruiting process.

  7. Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws regarding employment.

  8. Audit and validates candidate information for new hire and job changes for accuracy.

  9. Assisting in the coordination of other recruiting activities and projects as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in HR or related area. An equivalent combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.

  2. Experience with Microsoft Office products.

  3. Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding recruiting.

  4. Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Transportation, manufacturing or logistical/distribution industry experience.

  2. Applicant Tracking System experience.

  3. Previous experience in Human Resources.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs. of supplies and materials is required.
