Sr Data Engineer - ( 2101A7 )
Primary Location : US-KS-Overland Park
Shift : Day
Under moderate supervision and guidance, provide data analysis, data modeling and data orchestration both on prem and in the Azure cloud.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Applies solid design principals to create data flows, scheduling, mapping, and structuring of data for consumption.
Executes data analysis to understand source and target systems.
Executes multiple, concurrent projects in an agile environment.
Analyzes and identifies cloud architecture strategy and service deployment.
Tests, tunes and supports data pipelines and structures.
Implements required data security.
Maintains a data dictionary.
Assists with ML and AI model deployment to the cloud.

Seven (7) or more years working in ELT, ETL and data orchestration in an analytics environment.
Two (2) or more years working in the Azure PAAS platform.
Sound knowledge and adaptability to an agile environment.
Ability to collaborate with non-technical and technical colleagues in project and support execution.
Experience working with Azure Blob Storage, Data Lake, Synapse, and SQL Server.
Solid understanding and aptitude working with cloud-based orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory
Ability to model data for performance and accessibility whether creating fixed data schemas or schema on read models.
Highly effective working in a team, as well as working independently.
Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
Microsoft PowerBi experience
Solid presentation skills

This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
