The Senior Risk Management Professional identifies and analyzes potential sources of loss to minimize risk. The Senior Risk Management Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Risk Management Professional contributes to the success of Humana's business strategy by supporting risk and compliance initiatives across Clinical, Pharmacy and Home Solutions teams. As a Senior Risk Management Professional, you are responsible for helping to identify strategic, operational, and compliance risks and implementing control practices. You understand business process flows, regulations, and operating standards and own portions of process reviews to monitor risk within the organization. The Senior Risk Management Professional develops and implements controls and cost-effective approaches to minimize the organization's risks.
The Senior Risk Management Professional will be responsible for supporting the respective teams that manage risk and compliance for Clinical & Pharmacy Solutions and Home Solutions. Responsibilities include risk identification, data analysis, process design and implementation with appropriate business stakeholders. The ability to lead with risk based knowledge, confidence and effective partnerships is critical. Success in this role requires previous compliance, risk management, or internal audit experience and/or significant experience within a large, matrixed organization.
Creates centralized methodologies and tools for the effective compliance oversight and risk management within the broader organization.
Develop dashboards to summarize compliance risks and key performance indicators utilizing existing operational, quality and issue data from various sources (with a particular focus on CMS audit readiness)
Oversee the identification, analysis, mitigation, tracking and reporting of strategic, operational, and compliance risks in collaboration with the business; continuously improve how risks and issues are aggregated, communicated and addressed.
Create controls identification and testing program, working with risk/compliance peers and operational partners
Partner with Humana's second line of defense (Enterprise Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, and Legal) as well the third line of defense (Internal Audit) to support alignment across oversight groups
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
5 or more years of compliance, risk, audit and/or process consulting experience
Ability to manage enterprise wide projects with a focus on assessing risks, design and implementation
Thrives in a fast paced, multi-project work environment while still ensuring attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
Strong focus on developing effective working relationships
Process improvement or project management experience
Understanding of the healthcare regulatory environments, primarily CMS requirements and CMS audit practices
