Oracle Senior Director Product Marketing, Oracle Data Cloud in Overland Park, Kansas

Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market. Manages a staff of managers.

As a manager in product marketing, you will be responsible for leading the development of company marketing specifications for specific product(s) or product line(s). Manage marketing activities within the context of the overall corporate plan to meet company objectives. Monitor the development of business plans and business results of e-marketing. Manage lifecycles and product positioning in the market place. Identify customer needs, oversee market research, and monitor the market trends/competitive landscape. Implement and monitor advertising campaigns. Act as a technical advisor for specific product(s). Initiate and foster relationships with development, sales, and other groups to develop new products or enhance functionality of existing product(s) or product line(s). Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge. In-depth knowledge of the computer industry, database and development technology and markets. Extensive marketing analysis experience. BA/BS degree. MBA preferred.

Senior Director Product Marketing, Oracle Data Cloud

Location, US Nationwide, remote

As Senior Director of Product Marketing for Oracle Data Cloud you will lead a team and own the creation and delivery of the global product marketing strategy for Oracle’s advertising solution suite targeted at brands, agencies, publishers and platforms. This is an outstanding opportunity for an innovative, experienced adtech product marketer to work with a team at the forefront of a seismic shift in advertising. You will be responsible for partnering with product leadership to ensure product-market fit for our solutions, and with marketing and sales leadership to bring those solutions to the market successfully. You and your team own market research, competitive insights, development of global sales plays, product and feature launches, core product messaging and associated content in support of our global go-to-market team and global marketing programs. A successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of collaboration and cross-functional influence, a passion for advertising technology, and the ability to translate competitive market knowledge into clear differentiators to deliver on revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Segment the market and establish buyer insights across our key segments of agencies, brands, publishers and platforms, identifying what opportunities, challenges and dynamics exist to grow and retain product revenue

  • Define global product marketing narratives and messaging that will ensure consistency across sales and marketing

  • Create global sales plays

  • Create sales enablement bill of materials for all products

  • Craft storylines to communicate value that can be applied and contextualized for different buying scenarios and marketing channels

  • Be a product and market expert

  • Ensure product innovations are effectively communicated to the market

  • Present strategies and plans frequently to internal audiences

  • Present to customers and prospects, including conferences, online events and customer meetings

  • Be a spokesperson for analysts as needed

  • Manage a team of senior directors/directors, maintaining strategic direction and goal attainment

Preferred skills

  • 10 years experience in a product marketing role focused on value-based messaging for B2B SaaS technology products, with a focus on adtech

  • Experience in product marketing in adtech, media, audience data, and/or advertising measurement

  • 6 years of successful management experience, leading teams of product marketers

  • MBA or Bachelor’s degree in business or technology field

  • Demonstrated success in launching products in highly-competitive markets targeting brands, agencies, publishers, and platforms

  • Ability to provide examples of go-to-market strategies and programs for prior roles in a related field, with the corresponding impact to revenue contribution

  • Critical thinker with strong writing, communication, presentation development and delivery skills

  • Mentoring and resource development skills to recruit and professionally develop team members

  • Ability to manage upward in the organization to influence executives, as well as down

  • Demonstrated success in working across teams to listen, collaborate and make decisions

  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced organization and comfortable with ambiguity and opposing priorities

  • Problem solver who can diagnose complex business challenges and find solutions

  • Pragmatist who knows how to get things done

  • Willing to travel up to 20%
