*Summary: *The person in this position is primarily responsible for processing customer bids and quotes and supporting Sales Managers in order to develop Highway Sales’ customer base and territory sales strategy.

  • Support all Salt Sales line with all aspects of customer service and sales support from bid preparation to invoice auditing.

  • Customer service duties:

Ø Daily monitoring of order reports to resolve issues.

Ø Troubleshoots customer exceptions and screen customer exceptions for Sales Managers

Ø Monitors customer invoices to ensure invoices are timely and accurate.

Ø Enter orders into E1.

  • Bid preparation duties:

Ø Performs initial review of incoming bids and quotes highlighting pertinent data and information which affects customer requirements and Sales Managers business strategy.

Ø Processes time sensitive bids and quotes in computer system and meets all critical deadline.

Ø Requests bid bonds, surety bonds and other documentation required for bid submission

Ø Follows up to ascertain bid awards

Ø Represents the company in pre-bid and opening bid meetings as assigned

  • Responsible for master data maintenance in HMIS and ensures that E1 master data is accurate.

  • Performs new customer setup in HMIS and initiates documentation to have customer master data set-up in E1.

  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned by Sales Support Manager.

*Education and Experience: *

  • High School Degree

  • Preferred – Associates Degree; Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related customer service, sales, administrative experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Also preferred – PeopleSoft/J.D. Edwards experience.

*Computer Skills: *

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be PC proficient and be skilled in MS Word and Excel.
