Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Specialist who will work with various departments in the plant to ensure quality at every level. This includes working with Assembly, Surface Mount/Through Hole PCBA Assembly, Shipping/Receiving, Engineering, and closely with the Safety team. This role reports to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming raw materials and finished goods

  • Inspect incoming PWBs to ensure compliance with purchase specifications

  • Inspect PCBAs for build accuracy and solder quality per IPC 610 class II specifications

  • Verify that inspected materials meet our specifications

  • Inspect in-process work at various production stages to ensure products are built correctly and to engineering specifications

  • Read and understand all work instructions to assist assemblers in building quality products

  • Manage the work instruction library

  • Support the production team in identifying the root cause of defects found during inspection

  • Provide feedback to operators or teams regarding quality work

  • Record inspection information, and write and record NCM tickets

  • Create and implement detailed work instructions that document inspections and quality tasks performed by the Quality Team

  • Document quality data to support key quality audits of finished goods to ensure all process steps are complete and meet product specifications

  • Provide guidance to other members of the Quality Team

  • Participate in Engineering Change Order meetings

Work Environment

Manufacturing facility, climate-controlled, clean and organized. Electronic manufacturer. Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday-Friday.
