Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service. Handles food in a safe manner and ensures the work area is always clean and neat. Reviews the status and appearance of the merchandise for freshness.
Accountable and Reports to:
Director; Manager Of, Human Resources/Accounting Manager; Department Managers and Assistant Managers
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Reports to work when scheduled and works hours needed.
Adheres to company policies and individual center guidelines.
Maintains a positive attitude and creates an environment that nurtures positive employee morale, friendliness and fun.
Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the center.
Smiles and greets employees in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee’s designated department or elsewhere in the center.
Makes an effort to learn customers’ names and to address them by name whenever possible.
Answers the telephone promptly when called upon and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call.
Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
Understands and practices proper sanitation procedures and ensures the work area is always clean and neat.
Ensures an adequate product supply is ready and on hand and develops or follows a production list.
Anticipates product needs for the department on a daily basis.
Checks in product, puts product away and may review invoices.
Reviews the status and appearance of the food for freshness and replenishes and rotates product.
Removes trash in a timely manner.
Prepares, finishes and replenishes product as necessary.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in other areas of center as needed.
Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.
Orders product and supplies as necessary.
Delivers orders as needed.
Education and Experience:
At least a High School diploma or equivalent experience. At least 6-months of similar or related work experience.
Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently; and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Must be able to be on feet (standing and walking) for 6-8 hours a day.
Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must have the ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions; dealing with a few concrete variables.
Ability to do simple addition and subtraction; copying figures, counting and recording.
Possess the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing.
This is a fast paced work environment and will require some pressure to meet deadlines. This position could involve exposure to dirt, dust, noise, temperature extremes, dampness, vibrations, equipment movement hazards (pallet jack), cleaning chemicals/solvents and electrical shock.
Equipment Used to Perform Job:
Knives, wrapping machine, cash register, calculator, pallet jack, garbage disposal, trash compactor, cardboard compactor and RPM
Has access to confidential information including monthly results, quarterly inventory reports, sales and profit sheets and warehouse pricing.
Has daily contact with employees and occasional contact with customers, the general public and vendors.
