Oracle Principal Pre-Sales Consultant – Financial Services Customer Experience Apps - NORTH EAST - (NY/Boston) - United States in Overland Park, Kansas

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

We are looking for an experienced Pre-sales Consultant who provides strategic direction and is a trusted advisor for upmarket clients in the Financial Services Industry across North America.

The ideal candidate will utilize past industry knowledge and thought leadership, in concert with Oracle Cloud CX products to facilitate transformational solutions and eliminate pain points for a client s business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Presales Activities for Oracle CX product sales cycles

  • Possess a deep understanding of the customer experience life cycle

  • Possess experience working with enterprise Financial Services Clients

  • Have a Presentation excellence skillset:

  • Have the ability to construct credible and interesting value messaging by using benchmarks and industry evidence to leverage and create a persuasive point of view in order to educate clients and, in turn, close the gap between the opportunity and the sale.

As a CX Principal Sales Consultant you will be the expert responsible for/formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity/to prospective customers and in consort with the Direct Sales Team, while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Our team leverages expertise and knowledge from all our team members and serves as the quarterback for the Sales Consulting team. Further, the Sr Consultant acts as the technical expert and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Strong focus on building both internal and external business relationships.

  • Liaison to product management, development and strategy teams to ensure we lead in our market.

  • Focus on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions

  • Bring innovation to our solution and messaging.

  • Develop productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants.

  • Develop and deliver outstanding Oracle CX presentations and demonstrations to Upmarket clients in the Financial Industry.

  • Lead all aspects of the pre-sales technical sales process.

  • Advise internal and external clients by creating industry specific solutions which drive efficiencies and long-term business transformation.

The Principal Pre-Sales CX Financial Services Consultant will take the lead as a CX content contributor and SME, both individually and as a part of the Financial Services Industry team, to provide direction and mentoring to others. The Principal Presales Consultant will understand that the role charter the work we do - is non-routine and very complex. The work involves the application of advanced technical/business skills in Customer Experience. As such, the role requires:

  • 8-12 years of technical sales, presales, and/or solution engineering/consulting experience.

  • 10-12 years business experience with relevant information technology, cloud-based applications, and/or financial services.

  • Possess the ability to discover, design and develop solutions with complex/advanced product features.

  • Have thorough knowledge of system and application design

  • Have in-depth knowledge of SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS Oracle competitors, as well as current events related to the Financial Services Industry.

  • Demonstrate project management skills.

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques.

  • Have the ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication.

  • Be available to travel as needed (up to 50% of the time).

  • Hold a Bachelor s degree or equivalent is required, advanced Graduate degree highly desirable in a business or technical field or MBA.
