The Opportunity
As a member of the People Experience Communications team, you’ll help bring to life our team’s goal to shape the employer brand and professional experience through communications by informing, inspiring and engaging professionals to contribute to the success of BV.
As a critical member of the team, the People Experience Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive internal and executive communications strategies to targeted and global audiences with a goal to connect people to strategic priorities and build collaboration and engagement in a hybrid and matrixed working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Build, execute and measure comprehensive communications engagement strategies and plans aligned to key priorities that strengthen the Black & Veatch culture and employee experience.
Build and maintain internal client relationships, particularly within Global Human Resources – from senior executives to SMEs to project leads – serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner for communications and engagement related matters.
Develop strategic content for use in multiple communications platforms in support of internal communications as well as external communications which describe, reinforce, and advance the company's Employee Value Proposition.
Create engaging content for various channels that connects our employee-owners to strategic priorities and one another – including leadership/executive communications, people features, organizational updates, change management initiatives, town hall content, presentations and more.
Aligns all communications with employer branding efforts and employer value proposition
Contribute to internal content strategy discussions and develop and execute internal communications plans for content that is relevant and engaging for target audiences.
Ability to create quick turnaround content deliverables as well as long-term projects involving collaboration with other internal clients across the organization.
Solid organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage expectations across multiple, complex projects / priorities.
Partner with the video and graphic design teams to coordinate supporting assets through production.
Management Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication or a related field; or equivalent experience
6+ years related experience
All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years experience in internal communications with advanced knowledge of internal communications concepts
Extensive experience developing strategic, internal communications plans and measuring the outcomes
Experience and/or knowledge communicating about HR related functions like Talent Management an Development, Compensation, Benefits, Wellbeing and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
A skilled storyteller and enjoys engaging others through words and visuals.
Advanced written, editorial and verbal communications skills with a demonstrated understanding of AP Style
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint Online
Demonstrated experience using both traditional and emerging platforms to reach and engage various audience segments while partnering with design and content teams
Flexible and comfortable responding to quickly changing conditions with agility and innovation
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
Strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail
Interpersonal and networking skills
Proven ability to track, measure and analyze results
