JOB DESCRIPTION:

Payroll Analyst II will provide direct support for Payroll systems and employees. This position will have the ability to support Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll systems. The position role will be familiar with internal Payroll procedures and controls, have excellent problem resolution skills, testing skills, and the ability to develop, distribute and analyze payroll data. Strong analytical and technical ability needed. Able to multi-task well. Minimal supervisory guidance needed when completing tasks. Develops, maintains and continuously improves internal reporting of payroll data and controls. Creates training materials and provides training related to use of these data analysis solutions; resolves questions; assesses business needs; and recommends improvements related to current and future data solutions implemented. Works very closely with the management team for suggestions and reporting.

  1. Provide day to day support for Payroll data and systems with knowledge of payroll and business flows.

  2. Provide audits and controls in each area of the team.

  3. Provide user training regarding use of systems and data as needed.

  4. Partner in activities during the analysis, design, configuration and testing phases of system implementation projects and assist in the development of project plans. Participate in system requirements and design sessions.

  5. Partner with the function SME’s to develop specifications and configuration for system enhancements and future implementations to ensure user acceptance, adoption and usability of system tools.

  6. Provide ongoing documentation of system functional specifications. Document and review design in collaboration with users and technical resources.

  7. Partner with business areas supported to design and develop data analysis solutions that add value and support the overall business objectives. Understand business needs and translate business requirements into reporting solutions. Document current data analysis processes; make recommendations for improvements; and take action in response to recommendations.

  8. Develop standard reports for ongoing customer needs as well as develop solutions to address ad-hoc data requests.

  9. Help maintain data integrity in systems by identifying data discrepancies and resolving data quality issues from collection through reporting. Provide business process analysis feedback to optimize data quality.

  10. Create and deliver training materials and assist in training the payroll team and field employees.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related area; or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  2. Three (3) to Five(5) years related experience

  3. Data analysis and reporting experience

  4. Strong skillset to create data-driven business reports using Excel, Word, Kronos, Oracle OTBI, or other similar reporting tools

  5. Thorough working knowledge MS Office Suite, with significant experience and proficiency using Microsoft Excel

  6. Project management skills, with ability to successfully lead projects/assigned work tasks to established deadlines

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Payroll System Support and Payroll Process Experience

  2. Reporting using Oracle and Excel

  3. Experience with Oracle HCM cloud based solutions.
