This position will be located in Kansas City, MO
Works closely with the contract Physician to assure coordination of efforts to provide the highest quality medical service for FM&T employees and NNSA employees and to provide such service for non-employees in emergency situations when circumstances warrant
Coordinates activities within the medical department to provide the highest quality medical service for employees.
Actively participates in the prevention of occupational injuries and illness, and in the maintenance of a healthy workforce.
Arranges for the purchase of pharmaceutical and medical supplies and for the evaluation of new equipment prior to purchase.
Inspects medical facility for safety, cleanliness, and adequate preparedness to meet daily activities and common medical emergencies.
Assists in the formulation and administration of health and wellness programs.
Serves on teams working with occupational health issues.
Triages and treats occupational injuries and illnesses.
Responds to in plant medical emergency calls.
Assists physicians in physical examinations of employees and applications and in treatment of FM&T and NNSA employees.
You Must Have:
Two years or more experience in Nursing, preferably as a Registered Nurse
Current Missouri Nursing License and an RN degree
US Citizenship in order to obtain and maintain "Q" clearance
Occupational health knowledge
Manufacturing or production knowledge
Working with union environments
