Aston Carter Medical Office Specialist in Overland Park, Kansas

Aston Carter is partnered with a leading provider, seeking a Medical Office Specialist to join their diverse and inclusive team!

The right candidate will be energetic, hard working, have a passion for their job, able to multi-task and driven to gain a connection with our employees and patients. We are seeking a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, detail oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Description:

The Medical Office Specialist provides clerical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care.

Schedules procedures, office visits, and other appointments

Handles inbound/outbound phone calls for the clinic

Obtains patient demographic information, verifies insurances, and performs data entry

Ensure patient charts, paperwork and reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner

Retrieve medical records by following chart-out procedures; documenting reasons charts cannot be retrieved for statistical and follow-up purposes

Assists with patient check in/check out and other front office duties as needed

Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

eClinicalWorks experience is highly preferred.

Prefer someone with experience performing prior authorizations for medications & radiology procedures or procedure scheduling.

Insurance Experience

Medical Records Experience

Must have excellent oral and written communications.

Must have the ability to maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while working under pressure.

Must be dependable, reliable, and timely.
